However, Linda continued to pursue her love for creating art by signed up for as many art electives as she could. Enough to create a portfolio by her senior year to study aboard with Syracuse University in Florence, Italy. The year was 1986, a time, a place and an experience that altered the course of her life forever. From that point on creating ART would play a big part of her life.
For the next 10 years Linda continued to weave together both her love for creating art with a business mindset to forge a career in the marketing, advertising and graphic design world. Re-married in 2010, Linda and her husband/best friend and business partner Dean work side by side - creatively and productively.
Dean’s creativity and passion is in the culinary arts.
For years Dean has shared his passion for cooking with family and friends. As a single Dad for several years his three girls loved to gather around the family dinner table enjoying one of Dean's favorite meals. When asked to cook hot dogs and hamburgers for a Wednesday night meal at our church, Liberty Community Church, Dean joyfully volunteered.
This only flamed the fire for the desire to share his cooking skills with others. Making a mid-life career change, Dean worked hard academically and professionally as he attended Gateway Community College - Culinary Art program earning him high honors and a Culinary Certificate.
Dean has had the opportunity to meet and cook with Adrienne Kane cookbook author and the internationally known french Chef Jacques Pepin, television personality and author. Dean was inspired to start a food blog under the guidance of Jane Stern - Food Writer Extraordinaire and author of over 40 food related books and novels.
Currently Dean is working for nationally known catering company Sage Catering.
One day Dean and I plan to open a Bed and Breakfast - Art and Culinary Retreat - but for now, Dean will keep cooking' and I'll keep paint'n .. and we'll leave the rest up to God :)
