201 Fern Street, watercolor 16 x 20
The reference photo I was working from was taken back in February 2010 but it has been a favorite of mine for a long time. I decide to switch over to watercolor and use the pouring technique that I learned from a book called "Pouring on Light" by Jean Gaf.
In the picture was my daughter Veronica, son Raymond and his friend George. It's in front of George's house in West Hartford, CT.
We were just about to start our weekend trip to New Hampshire with the kids. Two cars, 6 kids and a dog.... 41/2 hours on the road to Camp Calumet in Freedom, New Hampshire. What a great time we had the kids went snowboarding, tubing, cross country skiing, ice skating and so much more... great memories from that trip. I'm hoping to paint more from our family vacations.
