A marvelous Saturday morning at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford... so incredible beautiful!
I joined up with the CT Plein Air Painters Society for a Paint Out here in West Hartford. I met Carol, Judith and Liz from the group.
It was so hard to decide which place to choose every where you turned... another amazing vignette waiting to be painted! It was like a symphony of colors playing so gracefully in the bright sunlight.
Since I didn't have an umbrella with me I chose a shady spot across the road way. The Tunnel of rose trellis' spoked off the center gazebo from 4 sides. I stopped counting at 25 but there must have been close to 50 volunteer gardeners carefully pruning and attending to all the rose bushes.
Getting acclimated to the bright light of the outdoors.. this painting appears heavily saturated and dark... I'll need to do a few adjustments in my studio. I'll post a few more photos of the park soon.
