I'm happy to share with my friends this exciting news about an upcoming artist workshop that still has a few spaces available - 3 Day Watercolor and Fluid Acrylics with Bob Noreika I've known Bob for over 14 years and have taken several classes and workshops with him. I have learned so much by watching and listening to Bob teach. His approach to teaching is very relaxed and everyone has a great time learning and sharing in Bob's classes. Although Bob will be working in watercolor and acrylic during his demonstrations, any medium is welcome. You'll learn to capture seascapes, boats and landscapes in a spontaneous “Fluid” technique. Plus the location is a gem! Take it from me, painting on the Thimble Islands in Branford is a treasure trove for visual artists. Maureen Wilkinson is a very accomplished watercolorist and teacher herself who is graciously hosting this workshop at her house on Little Governor's Island. Maureen and her business partner Christine Chiocchio own and operate Stony Creek Studio and Gallery ... just a minute from the docks. Although the workshop starts next week Monday June 8-10th you can join in for one, two or all three days! There are still a few spaces left. I'll be there helping out... painting ... and looking forward to working together with a very creative and fun group of artists. In case of rain, the workshop will be held indoors at Stony Creek Studios. Cost: $125 per day or sign up for all three days for $325 Time: 8:45am - 4:00pm - please arrive at the docks by 8:30am - we have a designated taxi/ferry for our group that leaves promptly at 8:45am - the ride back to the main land is at 3:45. It costs $5 each way and must be paid upon entering the boat. Dock Location: End of Thimble Island Road, Branford, CT 06405 - Street parking is available behind Jamberries restaurant. Please check parking signs for designated times.
