Meet Gucci.

My niece Ava shared this photo of a dog name Gucci that she absolutely adores. Gucci is a french bulldog that belongs to the owner of the gym that Ava and her boyfriend Nick go to.

Each painting is painted on either 8 x 10 inch or 8 x 8 inch canvas board with quality oil paints and varnished. The price is $140 + (shipping and CT sales tax). Unframed.

A few notes about the challenge so far:
1. I absolutely love the sweet stories that accompany each dog photo. It gives me a chance to get to know these precious pets and how much they mean to their owners.

2. This has been a much more challenging challenge.. where each painting even though they are only 8 x 10 or 8 x 8, I have spent numerous hours working on each one just to get  the features right... or to the best of my ability. 

3.I'm quickly learning that even though many dog photos are cute (because of the subject) not all photos are "paintable". One of the biggest challenges I face when painting a dog solely from a photo and never seeing the dog in person, is knowing what the actual color of the fur is. And if the photo is taken inside or with a flash or really dark shadows it can alter the fur drastically. 

4. The best part of all ...meeting new friends, reconnecting with old friends and sharing something we have in common.... the love onf
