![]() "Sunny Porch", oil, 6 x6, $85 Today is Day 10 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge that I signed on to be apart of with Leslie Saeta and over 260 other artists. My theme is: Connecticut Treasures. Over the past year I've taken so many shots of places, events, people and things all around Connecticut and I'm looking forward to sharing these inspirations with you. Relaxing in the Glow Last June my mom and Ralph rented a summer cottage near Cornfield Point, in Old Saybrook, CT. We had a wonderful family reunion with my Aunt and Uncle, brother, sister-in-law and niece. Although the rental house was a typical New England beach cottage what make it so inviting was the first step inside. The glassed in porch with the white wicker chairs, the honey-colored oak floor and seashore accessories filled this porch with a sun-kissed feeling that whispers " welcome. Glad you came... now relax your weary soul." After our family reunion I returned a few days later to enjoy an afternoon with my mom. We drove around a bit and landed at the town Beach, got the beach chairs out and relaxing with our toes in the sand. What a nice day with my mom... (and we didn't even step foot in a store... now that's surprising :o) Love ya, Mom.
