Mint Milanos and Milk, oil 6 x6, $85
Today is Day 12 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge that I signed on to be apart of with Leslie Saeta and over 260 other artists.
My theme is: Connecticut Treasures.
Today's painting was so hard to resist eating instead of painting and all I kept smelling was the mint and chocolate filling. I've loved these cookies since I was a kid and now so does my step-daughter Hope. Needless to say they don't stay around very long in our house.
Connecticut Cookies and More
Pepperidge Farms - makers of these and many other delicious cookies, deserts and breads hold their headquarters in Norwalk, CT and was original started by Margaret Rudkin in her kitchen in Fairfield, CT. A woman after my own heart, Margaret Rudkin was a mother and entrepreneur. Yes! Love her! And here's a quote from the Pepperidge Farms website- (I'll share the link below, if you have time to read the story/history of Pepperidge Farms and Margaret Rudkin it's very inspiring!)
"There isn't a worthwhile thing in the world that can't be accomplished with good hard work. You've got to want something first and then you have to go after it with all your heart and soul." - Margaret Rudkin
