Sprinkler Fun - figure study Day 2 and already I'm having to catch up! But it feels good to be back in my studio and being productive. I could tell, and so could my husband that I've been feel out of sorts lately. My creativity fuel tank was running low with the pressure of completing several commissions before and even after Christmas. But I'm on the other side now, Jobs completed. And ready for a fresh new challenge.
I was just listening to a podcast today called "Creative Warriors" -hosted by Jeffery Shaw the guest speaker Fawn Germer was talking about her book "Work-Life Reset " -I loved what she said "there are times in life we wish we could hit a reset button.... it doesn't mean you wipe out everything, it means you can take a fresh look, start anew and make empowering choices" . Wow - this really resinated with me today. Here's a quick sketch I did with a marker and palette knife. It's of my two kids, Raymond and Veronica. The photo was taken back in 2005 - yikes.... 11+ years ago. Time seems to go by faster as we get older. I can still remember this day. It was later in the afternoon and the font yard was warm and sunny. We moved the sprinkler around to find just the right spot. The sunlight hit the water sprays just right to cause a stunning halo around the both of them. Just on the other side of the big oak tree in the front yard the kids would set up a lemonade stand. Such fond memories. I'll be working on a larger scaled version of this painting.... hoping to enter it in an upcoming show. I'll keep you posted. with love, Linda

there are programs and plugins out there that do all the filtering for you so these don’t ever get on your site. I personally use Akismet, it is a free wordpress plugin and so far has only let 1 spam comment actually come through. The best way to handle spam comments is to put a positive spin on it and take them
