Banquet Room in Full Bloom, oil, 6x6, $85
Today is Day 3 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge that I signed on to be apart of with Leslie Saeta and over 260 other artists.
My theme is: Connecticut Treasures.
Over the past year I've taken so many shots of places, events, people and things all around Connecticut and I'm looking forward to sharing these inspirations with you.
The only way I could explain this exquisite interior to you is comparing it to the nectar of a flower. You see, I was so taken back by the enchantment of this dining room because of the alluring aroma that filled the air, the elegant decor and it's ideal location. So where is this CT banquet room? I'll tell you, it's within The Pond House Cafe which is on the grounds of Elizabeth Park in Hartford, CT. And if you've ever been to Elizabeth Park during the rose season you'll understand: two and a half acre garden of some 15,000 bushes. A sea of roses! But words can't describe how magnificent this heavenly park is.. and many outdoor weddings are held here. How romantic! In a future post I'll share a painting of the rose garden but for now I hope you enjoy the nectar of this Connecticut Treasure.
