Sand Castle Building - Figure Study Today is another short post about this figure study - "Sandcastle Building" - Yes, it's based on another Joseph Bowler painting. The sweetness of the little sister watching her big brother build a sand castle just captured my heart. I loved the way Mr. Bowler used the reflective light in the white beach cover up to define the shape of the little girl's body.
So far I'm glad I took the plunge back into this challenge. It's keeping me motivated and focused both on painting and writing this blog. Why is it so hard to get started on something you like to do? And once you do begin, do you ever say to yourself.... "what was my problem???... THIS makes me happy! why did I take me so long to get back into what I love to do!" Well, that's how I'm feeling right now! That's it for today.... back to the easel for me! Enjoy the journey - Linda

You're a very talented artist. I'm amazed by how much dedication and time you put into creating these. I'd love to see more of your paintings. I'm no painter, but I can see the depth and emotions drawn in this artwork. I'm excited to see more of your 30 day challenge.

That also happens to me. I can’t seem to start writing the first draft of my story every single time. It’s like my motivation is gone and I can’t even find the courage to hold a pen or open my laptop. This happens because I am afraid of what is to come. I’m glad that you’ve overcome that phase. It’s really weird how we can be anxious of the things that will not happen. In spite of this, I’m glad that we both are doing fine with our own works.
