![]() Meet Sadie and Zoey. Sadie and Zoey belong to our friends Debbie and Rich Winters. Here's what Debbie has to say: " Both of my dogs were rescues from the Coast-to-coast dachshund rescue organization. Sadie is a double dapple piebald doxie and we aren't exactly sure how old she is, but best guess is about 11. Zoey is a long haired doxie and she'll be 10 in October. They are both typical dachshunds: VERY protective of their mommy (me), very willful, and also very loving and cuddly. On most nights you'll find both of them on my lap at the same time, vying for my attention and love. Sadie loves to burrow head first under blankets (even in the summer). Zoey is blind in one eye (we discovered this when she didn't see my sister's in-ground pool last summer, fell in the shallow end and sank straight to the bottom! I jumped in (clothes and all) to save her! We walk them throughout the neighborhood without leashes and every single neighbor knows them because both dogs act like they own the entire neighborhood!" Thank you Debbie for sending me your cute dog photo... their eyes are so expressive! I have joined in with over 240 other artists on fellow artist Leslie Saeta's blog. click here to link to the challenge. Thanks to everyone who have sent me cute dog photos! I'm having a great time painting and hearing about all these sweet companions. If I get to the end of the challenge and I haven't painted your dog. I will try to continue the challenge until all the dogs are painted and only one dog per owner. I might not be able to paint one everyday... I know I'll need a break at the end of this challenge, but I will keep the dog series going. Each painting is painted on either 8 x 10 inch or 8 x 8 inch canvas board with quality oil paints and varnished. The price is $140 + (shipping and CT sales tax). Unframed. with much gratitude, Linda

I know these two lovely ladies. You have captured them perfectly in this portrait. I am enjoying all of the dogs and look forward to each day's new face(s).
