I'm very excited about teaching this upcoming FREE workshop at the Willoughby Wallace Library on Sunday March, 25th from 1-3pm.
It's a hand-on, introduction to sketchbook journaling workshop. We will start with the basics - materials, mark making and color mixing. I will guide you step by step on basic observation drawings and then adding color to our sketches.
Our focus will be on creating drawings from simple things found in the kitchen - using mostly colorful fruits and veggies, dishes and cups.
This workshop will help you build your drawing confidence while having a whole lot of fun. I absolute love drawing and creating in my sketchbook and I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to share my passion with others.
Designed for beginners in mind, however all levels are welcome and encourage to join in.
Creating art in a supportive community refreshes the soul.
You will need to bring your own watercolor sketchbook and a few supplies - pencil, fine Sharpee marker and small watercolor paint box. Some supplies will be included.
Date and Time: Sunday March 25, 1-3pm

2018 Wall Calendars will be arriving soon -
This year I decided to create a 12-month wall calendar with 12 images of my original artwork in oils and acrylics. It was challenging for me to choose a theme. I went back and forth trying to figure out which theme would work best, like just landscapes, or just seascapes... or perhaps just kitchen, food art. Well needless to say, I complied 4 different calendars... which just seemed... a little overwhelming... right now :) -
So, I scratch that idea and decided to mixed them all together to give you a fun, colorful compilation of 12 of my favorite works!
From a peaceful serene floral arrangement of lilies and tea to a rock'n lobster 4th of July feast., Or a sunset over the Connecticut shore to my husband Chef Dean cooking up a meal.
My hope is this calendar offers a vibrant and energetic "soul refresher" as we together experience the world around us through the lens of beauty though art.
The calendar measure 11 x 17 and is printed on heavy gloss stock. Trusting it will brighten any wall in your home, office or studio. Maybe these pieces will even inspire you to create! -
Or perhaps as a gift to an art lover on your shopping list!
I printed just a small limited quantity to start with, but if they sell out I would be happy.... actually ecstatic to order more!! With plenty of time for the holiday gift giving.
Each calendar will be packaged with care for safe arrival at your door.
$24. 95 which includes FREE Shipping anywhere in the USA!
(if shipped outside US - please send me an email with shipping address and I will figure out the shipping rate)
Thank you for being apart of my colorful and creative world!

With a diverse selection of watercolors, oils, pastels, acrylics, mixed media, photography, and sculpture... there is something for everyone on your holiday shopping list.
A beautiful day.. picture perfect for a New England Fall Festival! We set up around 9:30am and families started trickling in at 11am. There was a little breeze on top of the hill were we had our paint tent but it was the best view. The band played all day long - lots of wonderful hits from past to present. The food vendors look very busy and families strolled the park, found a nice shady spot behind the trees and just enjoyed the day. Our neighbors where Ray and Pam Sola local beekeepers and their adorable twins bopped around the grounds. Lots of adorable children came to paint chickens with a few who saw the blank canvas as a way to express their colorful imagination and ventured off into creative land. Several friends came out to support our.. thanks to Annette, Kevin, Stevie, Stephanie, Tracey, Irma, Colette and Ella.
It was a great day... a little tired by 3:30pm but what a wonderful way to spend a beautiful autumn day.
Kirsten, one of of park directors and I had a brief but exciting conversation about painting plein air at the Park! I can't wait! I will definitely share more information when details are worked out.
Dean was behind the camera today.... snapping lots of photos.. hope you enjoy the photo show and video..
