In the Kitchen -Food Art Original Paintings by Linda Marino
A bounty of color is what I discover every time I open the refrigerator or walk down the produce isle in Big Y. I've been know to stand in front of the fruit section inspecting each piece of fruit ... for painting that is... and yes then eating.... of course. I'll even sit on the side stool in the Kitchen sketching the ingredients while Dean prepares our dinner. It's the simple things in life that seem to flow so naturally into my artwork.

Here's me and my friend Roberta with the finished painting "Fruits and Veggies". It was a collaborative effort which I love so much. Roberta invited me over to her lake side home to talk about a commissioned painting for her kitchen. Even though the space was small, it's a real focal point in the room and as you walk in the front door. She sent me a few reference photos of what she had in mind, we discussed the size and colors and framing. I absolutely loved painting this piece. From the start everything just clicked, check out the progress slide show above to see how the painting came together.
