Into the Flow - Stony Creek/Washburn Preserve, Branford Land Trust Property, Branford, CT
16 x 36" acrylic on stretched canvas
This is painted framed in a silver nickel box frame.
Working on a series of paintings of the Branford Land Trust Property’s- this was taken at the Stony Creek Partnership/ Washburn Preserve. As the water rushed underneath me from the river into the sound - I could feel my paintbrush catch the currant ... getting caught up in the flow -
The rocks in the stony creek area have this rosy orange glow to them with speckles of black and white. I believe the quarry rocks are mixing and mingling with the other grayish rocks to really give there’s rocks such a warm glow. The Stony Creek Quarry is know for their rose quartz granite- what many statue and monument bases are made out of.
