framed in silver frameMy first plein air painting for the season. It was still very cold out so I sat in my car, set up my palette box and rested it on the steering wheel. I just love the way the light was pouring down the street. It touched the tips of the pink blossoms. This was one of the first trees in town to bloom. I had to go back the next day to fill in a few details missing on the buildings in the background but I was very pleased with my first painting of the season. It pays to practice in the studio but nothing compares to painting from life.
