this piece is a combination of memory piece, drawing and plein air studies and my imagination.
As I've been practicing a lot of figure drawing recently for an upcoming wedding commission. I was captivated by the play of these young children that reminded me so much of my kids. Although we never had a beagle only golden retrievers, I recently painting two adorable beagles for Christmas present commissions. The island is from plein air studies around the Stony Creek Thimble Island area.
